I travel quite a bit.  Either for business or for fun, I’m away from home at least a couple times a month.  While away, I like to find pools where I can work out.  This has proven to be a fantastic way to experience many different types of pools from fitness centers, city owned, swim club owned, school owned, resorts, and everything in between.  I’ve gained a great appreciation for communities that support swimming well and what it takes to provide a good aquatic center.  The experience has only made me wish more that the Town of Cary would do more to support aquatics in our area.  So many towns across the US that have done an excellent job filling the aquatics needs of their community – Town of Cary just isn’t one of them.

Finding a pool while on travel isn’t always easy.  I owe a lot to Swimmers Guide helping me locate places to swim when I’m away from home.  It’s always the first place I consult before visiting a new place.
